Who we are

BeautySouq is a trading name of Mersibo Technologies LLC, a company registered in Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Mersibo Technologies LLC is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

We sell professional beauty supplies to lash artists, nail technicians and salons through our website at https://beautysouq.com and through the BeautySouq mobile app for iOS and Android. We are based in the UAE and ship worldwide. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

When you order

To take and deliver an order we need your name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery address. We keep a record of what you ordered and when, along with any notes you add to an order.

If you create an account, we also store the details in your profile and your saved addresses so you do not have to type them again.

Payment

We do not see or store your card number. Card payments are handled on our behalf by our payment providers, and only they see the card details:

Nomod — card payments
Tabby — pay-later instalments, which involves sharing your order and contact details with Tabby so they can approve the instalment plan

We also accept cash on delivery and bank transfer, which involve no third-party processor.

Delivery

We pass your name, address and phone number to the courier carrying your parcel, because there is no way to deliver it otherwise.

Because we ship internationally, an order going outside the UAE means that information also reaches the courier’s partners in the destination country, and where the law requires it, the customs authorities there. Cross-border shipping cannot happen without this.

In the mobile app

The app collects the same order and account information as the website, and additionally:

A notification token. If you turn on notifications, your device is issued an anonymous token by Apple or Google and we store it so we can send you the alerts you asked for — restocks, offers, new arrivals and updates on your orders. This works without an account. If you are signed in, the token is linked to your account so order notifications reach the right person.
Basic device information — platform (iOS or Android) and app version, so we can tell which builds are in use and support them.
Data stored on your own device. The app keeps a copy of the catalogue and your bag on your phone so it opens quickly and keeps working with a poor signal. This stays on your device.

The app contains no advertising or analytics trackers. It does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not share app data with data brokers or advertising networks.

On the website

The website uses cookies and similar technology, some of which belong to other companies:

Google Analytics — how the site is used, so we can improve it
Meta (Facebook) pixel — measuring and targeting our advertising
Affiliate tracking — recognising when a customer arrives through one of our affiliate partners, so the partner is credited
Necessary cookies — keeping you signed in, remembering your bag, and security

You can accept or refuse the non-essential ones through the cookie banner, and change your mind at any time. Refusing them does not stop you from shopping.

When you contact us or subscribe

If you email us, fill in a contact form, or subscribe to our newsletter, we keep the message and your contact details so we can reply and, if you subscribed, send you the emails you asked for. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Comments

If you leave a comment on the site, we store the comment along with the name, email and website you gave, plus your IP address and browser user-agent string, which help us catch spam.

Why we are allowed to use it

To perform our contract with you — taking payment, delivering your order, handling returns
Because you consented — marketing emails, push notifications, non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time
For our legitimate interests — preventing fraud and spam, keeping the site secure, and understanding how the shop is used
To meet our legal obligations — tax and accounting records

Who we share it with

Only where it is needed to run the shop: our payment providers, our delivery couriers, the services that send our email, Google and Apple for delivering push notifications to your device, and the analytics and advertising services named above for the website.

We do not sell your personal information.

Sending information outside the UAE

We are based in the UAE, but shipping worldwide means personal information necessarily crosses borders: to couriers and their local partners, to customs authorities in the destination country, and to the service providers we use to run the shop, some of which operate elsewhere.

Where information about customers in the UK or the European Economic Area is transferred outside those areas, we rely on the appropriate safeguards for such transfers, and we only send what the purpose actually requires.

How long we keep it

Orders and invoices — kept as long as tax and accounting law requires
Your account — until you delete it
Notification tokens — until you turn notifications off, uninstall the app, or the token stops working, at which point it is removed automatically
Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe
Comments — kept indefinitely, so follow-up comments can be approved automatically

Your choices

Delete your account. In the app, go to Account › Personal details › Delete account. This removes your account and personal details. Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices for completed orders, are retained for as long as the law requires. You can also request deletion without opening the app, at https://beautysouq.com/delete-account/ or by emailing [email protected].

Turn notifications off. In the app, under Account › Notifications, or in your phone’s own settings. You can also choose which kinds you receive.

See or correct your details. Your profile and addresses are editable in the app and on the website. You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold about you.

Stop marketing email. Use the unsubscribe link in any of them.

Security

Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. In the app, your sign-in credentials are held in the device’s secure keychain.

Children

The shop sells professional supplies and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you directly if the change is a significant one.
